Paradox, hypocrisy and facts – autopsy of media

May 23rd, 2010 § 2 Comments

I don’t understand why people are after haste interpretations before they could scientifically substantiate the fact? Once the fact is substantiated, many in the crowd seem to be backing out. Opportunists and hypocrisy are the two reasons I can think of. There has always been a pusillanimous approach when it comes to sheet fact of the Hindu terror’s existence.

Almost a week ago, you could see the Hindutwa terror roots were officially testified to be true and they ploted several attacks in the country. Home Minister himself come out to the media and said it’s substantiated. No media ever found to be airing with much pertinence. On the contrary, it often was a sort of filthy celebration for all types of media when an Arabic named outfit carry out any attack or to allege the responsibility on a Arabic/Urdu named outfit when an attack happens. Terror under any flag by any creed is a menace and need to be curbed away.

Well, the media has always been very enthusiastic, haste and proactive to allege a small singled out attack also as Islamic terror.  They never had any base to substantiate their allegations in most cases. Why don’t they show the same interest at least to air the facts that’s substantiated about the Hindu terror??? that’s where the hypocrisy and hidden interests are unveiled.

There has been terror in different colors and faces around the Globe; on religion, race, clan, language, by the oppressed and discriminated, etc. However, whatever the motive be, unless you comply to the sovereignty of the nation and fight using the system, it’s indeed terror. In front of us, LTTE, Maoists, Ulfa, LeT, AQ, etc are the known terrorists and the outfits like RSS, BHP, NDF, SIMI, etc who promotes terror behind the screen.

LTTE is substantially proven to be terrorists through the attacks they carried out for sake of their language which would sound really stupid for one actually uses the brain to think; not emotionally. Maoists are claimed to be the suppressed creed, Ulfa is trying to have their own sovereignty. LeT, AQ, etc are evolved of the notion of support to the oppressed Muslims around the globe.

Poverty and lack of education, ignorance, lack of knowledge in their ideology but just the spirit, etc are a few reasons we could think of to have the terrorism got so widespreaded and enrooted so easily. Authorities can do a great deal of things to eliminate the poverty, improve the education, etc that would make a prolific positive impact in curbing the terrorism. On the other hand, there are lots of black sheeps who would want the turmoil around always that can convert it to votes somehow.

As SM Mushrif, the former Inspector General of Police, Maharashtra wrote in his book through the stupendous research he carried out has brought the Hindu terror’s links out further to Mr. Karkare’s findings. Anyone who has a brain could easily presume how Karkare was assassinated. Right wing Hindu groups’s extremists wanted Karakare to be killed as he was mining out their years’ of plan and conspiracy.

Many big guns were apprehended; Col Purohit, Pranja Thakoor, where are they – what happened to their cases? Why media so silent about it? Were you after Muslim terror? You don’t appear to be against the terrorism, but a biased terror when it’s carried out by a particular creed.

As Mr. Mushrif said in his book, we can easily perceive the right wing of Hindu’s firm holds in the media and therefore these news that tarnish them are not being aired or not given enough pertinence as it actually should be. We can see the similar impact of Jewish influence in the western media as well.

It’s totally disgusting that the Hindutwa terror unveiled is nowhere on the media. If it’s an Arabic named outfit, this would have been much celebrated. This shows how opportunistic and bias the media are – Any one who has a bit of brain can easily perceive that these people who drive these channels are from the same creed of those behind the menace and don’t want to tarnish their clan.

One should be sincere to his principle and should not biased. Even if it’s your Dad, if he’s wrong, you should be able to say that he’s wrong; it’s hypocritical lest.

Let me qoute an article by Nikhil S Dixit on DNA for further healthy reading:
Mumbai: On Monday, the newly-formed National Investigative Agency (NIA) filed a 3,000-page charge sheet in the Goa bomb blast case, charging eight accused of terror activities and waging war against India.
Last month, the Rajasthan police had arrested some men — owing alliance to Hindu fundamentalist groups — for their alleged involvement in the October 2005 New Delhi bombings, Samjhauta Express bomb blasts and the Mecca Masjid blast in Hyderabad.
Prior to that, in September 2008, the Maharashtra anti-terrorism squad (ATS) arrested Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur and lieutenant colonel Shrikant Prasad Purohit in the Malegaon blast case.
All these arrests are an indication that investigators are slowly shifting their focus to the once neglected ‘Hindu terror’ groups and are waking up to the potent threat of ‘Hindutva terrorism’. Even though evidence of such groups existing has been there since 2002, investigative agencies have always turned a blind-eye towards them. Timely action on part of investigators could have helped saved many lives and prevent certain blasts.
In December 2002, an improvised explosive device (IED) was found outside Bhopal railway station. Exactly a year later, a similar IED was found in Bhopal, and it later transpired that the IEDs were made by two individuals — Ramnarayan Kalsangra and Sunil Joshi — belonging to a local Hindu fundamentalist group.
However, no action was taken against them and later the duo was found to be allegedly involved in the Malegaon blast case.
Similar, in 2006, a scrap dealer from Ahmednagar district was arrested with a huge quantity of explosive in his possession. Investigations revealed that there was a huge flourishing underground market for such explosives. In the same year, two activists of the Bajrang Dal were accidentally killed in Nanded while the bomb they were making exploded. It was later found that the duo was linked to three mosque blasts in Parbhani, Purna and Jalna.
Surprisingly, investigative agencies have time and again neglected cases that have allegedly had the ‘Hindu terror’ angle. The New Delhi Jama Masjid blasts, Samjahuta Express blasts, Ajmer blasts, Nanded blasts, Mecca Masjid blasts and the Jaipur bomb blasts, all these cases have been on the backburner.
However, in cases like the 11/7 Mumbai train blasts, the Gokul Chat and Lumbini Park blasts in Hyderabad and the New Delhi serial blasts, arrests have been quick and the investigation more forthcoming.

  • C P Shafeeq says:

Well done! Propaganda isn’t a new method of brainwashing; it has been part of the strategies adopted by belligerent ideologies. Media is one of the most dangerous weopons in modern world; it is capable of destryoying the entire social structures. It is high time we adopted proper media education than to be part of media.

  • well.
i do agree with your arguments and observations.
you have to write your thoughts in such broad media.

    best regards,
